  • Controller and Contact: StockNews operates this service. Privacy requests can be submitted through in-app support and the published deletion endpoints.
  • Data We Collect: account email, authentication metadata, device and app telemetry for security, alert settings, watchlists, and support communications.
  • Authentication: passkey-first login is supported. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plaintext by StockNews.
  • Purpose and Legal Basis: we process data to provide account access, deliver filing alerts, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability.
  • No Sale of Personal Information: we do not sell personal information and do not use personal data for unrelated third-party advertising.
  • Retention: data is retained only as long as needed for service operation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.
  • Security Controls: encryption in transit, encryption at rest, least-privilege access, audit logging, rate limiting, and incident monitoring are applied.
  • Cross-Border Processing: data may be processed in jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate, with contractual and technical safeguards.
  • User Rights: subject to applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability.
  • Children: this service is not intended for children below the applicable digital age without valid legal consent.

  • Service Scope: StockNews provides informational summaries and alerts based on public disclosures from SEC, OpenDART, and future supported regulators.
  • No Investment Advice: content is for information only and does not constitute investment, legal, tax, accounting, or fiduciary advice.
  • User Responsibility: users must independently verify original filings and are solely responsible for investment decisions and portfolio actions.
  • Accuracy and Availability: source data may be delayed, revised, incomplete, or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
  • Account Security: users must maintain account security and promptly report unauthorized use. Abuse or unauthorized access attempts are prohibited.
  • Acceptable Use: users may not scrape beyond permitted limits, interfere with service operation, reverse engineer protected components, or violate law.
  • Suspension and Termination: we may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or material policy violations.
  • Intellectual Property: platform UI, analytics presentation, and software components are protected. Source filing rights remain with original regulators/issuers.
  • Third-Party Services: infrastructure, messaging, and authentication may rely on third parties; their outages may affect service performance.
  • Liability Limitation: to the maximum extent permitted by law, indirect, consequential, and incidental damages are excluded.
  • Governing Law: governing law and venue follow the launch jurisdiction and mandatory local consumer protections.
  • Changes to Terms: we may update terms with notice. Continued use after effective date means acceptance of revised terms.
